NEW ORLEANS (July 9, 2012) – Sonic Clamp, a musical technology company, is proud to announce the official launch of the Sonic Clamp AXE-S, a unique accessory used to mount an iPhone or iPod Touch to an electric guitar or bass. The product provides musicians a simple and effective way to utilize applications for tuning, recording and many other capabilities. The Sonic Clamp will officially be introduced at the Summer National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) on July 12.

There is no other product on the market like it, as it allows for multi-surface display without any risk of damage to the instrument. The attachment feature is effortless and user-friendly with just a touch of a button that clamps the electronic device to the upper bout of the instrument. The Sonic Clamp appeals to both professionals as well as novice guitar players and allows for utilization of apps including tuners, metronomes, chords, tabs, lyrics, synthesizers, drum machines, sound effects and recording.

Other features include:

  • Optimum access to iPhone/iPod Touch
  • Effortless utilization of apps
  • Ease of practice for the musician
  • Clamp capability to the upper bout of the instrument
  • Two separate surface mounts provided
  • Ability to use apps live or in the practice studio
  • Soft touch pads to protect instrument’s finish
  • Pitch and tone are not affected
  • iPhone/iPod Touch holder securely snaps onto the Clamp

The Sonic Clamp is the brainchild of Brooks Hubbert III. As a professional musician, he found that there was no easy way to use his iPhone during musical performances for a variety of the apps and capabilities that he offered. The product was developed to assist musicians across the globe with a common challenge.

“I was always laying my iPhone on a table or balancing it on my knee for recording and other purposes, said Hubbert. “It seemed only natural to me that there must be some way to securely fix the iPhone to the guitar so that it could be conveniently manipulated during play. It’s our hope that the Sonic Clamp will help a multitude of musicians and enhance opportunities for their growth in the industry.”

The Sonic Clamp will be available for purchase exclusively online at www.sonicclamp.com.

About Sonic Clamp and Brooks Hubbert III:
Brooks Hubbert III is the creator of the Sonic Clamp AXE-S and has been playing guitar professionally for 20 years. He is a musician, singer, songwriter and inventor from Gulfport, Mississippi. Straight Shooter Band Oklahoma Top Variety Band

July 8, 2012 in News by TMC

| Website | Facebook |

Straight Shooter, a country and rock band from Oklahoma was formed in July 1996 by the Duggins Brothers.

They played small clubs until they got their first break and landed the house band job at the Cimmaron a country show case in Oklahoma City . Playing there they entertained as many 1500 people a week with their shows , humor and original music. Wanda Jackson ( Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ) spent her birthday there watching the guys just like the half million others who came from all over the country every week for seven years.

After releasing a successful CD the band hit the road playing venues all over the southwestern united states. They are still based out of Oklahoma City ands still going strong.

Dr. Bud Kurtz is a professor at OCU and sings lead and plays guitar and mandolin. A prolific recording artist Bud has shared the stage with members of the Blues Brothers, BB Kings Band, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Alice Cooper, ZZ Top and countless well known Texas and Oklahoma musicians. He has a three octave range and sings songs most bands can’t. He is also a virtuoso guitar player and the bands rock and roll guitar god.

Mike Duggins is a medical technician and plays acoustic guitar, keyboards and sings lead .Jim and Mike Duggins have been playing music since they were old enough to stand, and trace deep musical roots to their cousin the great music star, Conway Twitty. Mike has a smooth baritone voice that gives an authentic flavor to the country songs he sings and adds a bottom to the bands three part harmonies. He may know the words to every country song ever written .

Charlie “Hotrod” Hutson plays drums and percussion Charlie has been a DJ for KEBC and has drummed for many top bands throughout the years. Charlie is the bands engine and probably it’s hardest working member. He arrives early and is the last to leave. If you have a problem he is the fixer. He is also a great announcer with a DJ voice if needed.

Dave Tichenor has played behind many well known artists and is a member of the Oklahoma Porsche Club. He probably drives too fast but his bass playing is right on time. Dave has a huge voice and sings rock like it was meant to be sung.

Jim Duggins has a degree in pharmacy from SWOSU. He plays lead guitar and sings back up. He is a country picker with no equal. Jim is in a state of semi-retirement from performing but continues to play a few gigs and does the booking and scheduling. Call him to book the band and to talk with a musical treasure. MathYou Ratón Up and Coming

April 8, 2012 in Featured Artist, Hip Hop by TMC

I’m a TEENAGE (16) Rapper/Singer/Songwriter from South Oh, New York City. I believe in making good music with with deep meanings to them. I rap mainly about thing that happens in my life and stuff around that nature, but I also rap/ sing about relationships, money, and reaching my dreams. I also do gangsta rap because i’m still from one of the worst hoods in NYC. I grew up with a single mother, and a dad who smoked weed, and drunk a lot so he isn’t apart of my life. Even though me and my father don’t keep in contact i still keep in touch with my strong Puerto Rican culture.

My main motivation for my music is for my two friends who died in the streets from a shootout. I do it for every story that has been forgotten and dismissed. Everyday someone in my borough gets killed and their often kids like me, so i fight for all my kid who have ever been told that their lives is meaningless, because living in that neighborhood all your teachers and even the polices basically treat you like your life is meaningless. Half Puerto Rican Half Africa American

Cathryn McGill Emerging Southwest songwriter can beat WalMart’s price challenge this holiday season with lyrics from newly released Christmas tune.

ALBUQUERQUE – November 19, 2009 – WalMart has just spent millions of dollars on its holiday ad campaign – “Christmas costs less at WalMart.” Emerging songwriter and seasoned artist, Cathryn McGill has just released a new holiday song called the “Spirit of Christmas” that disagrees with the mighty retail giant. The premise of the Spirit of Christmas is that if we are really in the right zone-Christmas is free!  McGill’s insightful and inspirational lyrics remind us that Christmas doesn’t have to “cost” anything at all when she sings – “I know the Spirit of Christmas, it lives inside of me. And though it is priceless, it is unlimited and free. If you’ll just share your love, whether you’re a rich man or a peasant, the life you live at Christmas time will be the perfect present.”

The Spirit of Christmas will appeal to listeners of all ages and music lovers in all genres. Cathryn McGill has a classic voice and a universal and timely message for the upcoming holiday season. And don’t get her wrong, she’s not saying that you shouldn’t buy anything this holiday season. Not at all, in fact, she’s hoping that you’ll play her music and visit her website at www.cathrynmcgill.com to learn more about this artist who not only has a great voice but who has something to say.

Rob Fillo RISING MUSICAL TALENT ROB FILLO RELEASES SOPHOMORE ALBUM, ANGEL OF VICTORY

Vancouver, January 19th – Four years after his 2006 debut disc Cold Winter Drafts, singer/songwriter Rob Fillo is slated to release his locally acclaimed sophomore album Angel of Victory.

The album, described by Vancouver folk darling Karen Larson as “intoxicating” and “deeply intelligent”, is an indie rock stand-out with beautifully crafted tracks and thoughtful lyrics that display the raw, vocal intensity reminiscent of a young Eddie Vedder. A refreshing and soulful gem breaking-out in an era saturated by synthetic bloops and cynical musings, Angel of Victory is a self-produced musical achievement from one of B.C’s fastest rising talents.
