| About | For Massachusetts singer/songwriter “Terri G, ” it seemed improbable that taking a break from her career to raise children would help her break into the national music scene. Terri began singing as a local choir girl in Stoughton and continued to perform until her late teens. For much of the 1980's and 90's Terri settled into the life of homemaker and mother. Her continued interest in songwriting culminated in 2003 with her first demo release, "From the Heart, " a foreshadowing of Terri’s return to the stage. Since then, she has consistently entertained music lovers everywhere with her introspective genre of songs. She has built dedicated fan bases across the country thanks to her national performances as well as prisons and countless charities, radio programs and concerts. Her work blends the angelic voice of Enya, the toe-tapping hype of Shania Twain and the rich, spiritual sound of Amy Grant. Songs such as “The Rescue” are a testament to her musical and lyrical prowess. Terri's music, honored by Melodic Revolution Records, is placed on several compilation albums at http://www.thereishoperecords.com with all proceeds going to charity. May 2008, Terri won a director’s choice award in the Nashville International Song and Lyric Contest from Paramount Group for her song entry “Walked Away.” Terri is also an accomplished poet. In 2004, she received an Editor's Choice Award featured in the deluxe poetry anthology "Tracing the Infinite" from the International Library of Poetry for her poem titled "Where is my Spoon?” |
