Linda Carol Salvin Single Release
April 9, 2012 in Featured Artist, New Age/Electronica & Dance by TMC
I began playing guitar in 1964 at the age of 9 and continued until I was 17 years old. Joni Mitchell was my idol in high school and music was my life until college. I earned a BA in Health Science at San Francisco State University and a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan. All the while studying the sciences to ‘become something” the passion and dream of playing music stayed with me. An entry in my 1977 diary states that “I still have daydreams of sing folk songs someday”. Four year after graduate school, I was in a commercial airplane crash. I became very psychic and metaphysical pursuits took over for many years. I returned to music in the late 80s only to fall ill, needed surgery and left music again to help others with my spiritual gift.
I was the only one of 12 or 15 people in a musical showcase offered a recording opportunity in 1982 but dealing with the plane crash and then a firetruck accident at that time, I was not ready to pursue what was coming to me. In 1994, another opportunity in music was offered but I chose to go on into radio and become one of the primary radio psychics on AM/FM and cable radio for 15 years. Dabbling in music along the way, having helped thousands of people on and off the air with my psychic, healling and channeling gifts, I am now ready to present the world with the words and lyric I had originally produced and played accoustically. 40 years after high school and the dream is still very much alive.
With the digital world here, music is easier than ever to share. I have shared on my radio show for years and now I taking another step in my journey to share my creativity and music. Having earned a PhD in metaphysics in 2008, launching a candle line Wicks of Wisdom (r), which work “…like a prescription for your soul.”(r) my next contribution to help others is to release my song with more to come.
Love, Dr Linda Salvin
